Good morning Selia, happy anniversary. What a sweet hubby you have. Your doll head turned out wonderful A good friend of mine is a doll maker and I see all the hard work she does. What you did is not easy. Lovely charms to. Clarice

Lady Laurie

I want to wish you and your husband a happy anniversary and may you be blessed with many more.
The sunflowers are so pretty, they remind me of my son, they are his favorite flower. When he was little he was forever drawing me pictures of sunflowers.
How lovely that you play the piano ~ something I have always wanted to do.
You have been busy, the pendants are beautiful...and the doll! How wonderful to create something like that! I lost mine in the hurricane, but have been slowly rebuilding my collection.
Have a lovely weekend!

Dearest Selia,

The sunflowers your husband gave you are so beautiful! A very happy anniversary to you both!

I would love to hear you play. That is so sweet of your husband to have you play for him every afternoon. Very romantic! You wrote so beautifully of your view I could just imagine the pretty yellow roses, the vegetable garden and grapevines. Oh, that is a peaceful scene.

I love the pendants you are making, and the materials you are using. They are so pretty!

Your doll turned out beautiful.
You did a wonderful job of painting her face and applying her hair. I look forward to seeing the wardrobe you will be making for her.

The tags for your plants are so lovely! That is a wonderful idea! You are so creative! (I saw "peace" in the corner:))

The excerpts you shared from the book you are reading are beautiful.I enjoyed your photos and writings so much.

Blessings, Paula

  • "...I want first of be at peace with myself. I want a singleness of eye, a purity of intention, a central core to my life that will enable me to carry out these obligations and activities as well as I can. I want, in fact - to borrow from the language of the saints - to live "in grace" as much of the time as possible...By grace I mean an inner harmony, essentially spiritual, which can be translated into outward harmony...I would like to achieve a state of inner spiritual grace from which I could function and give as I was meant to in the eye of God..." by Anne Morrow Lindbergh Gift from the Sea

~A Garden of Thoughts~

  • THE Lord God planted a garden In the first white days of the world, And He set there an angel warden In a garment of light enfurled. So near to the peace of Heaven, That the hawk might nest with the wren, For there in the cool of the even God walked with the first of men. And I dream that these garden-closes With their shade and their sun-flecked sod And their lilies and bowers of roses, Were laid by the hand of God. The kiss of the sun for pardon, The song of the birds for mirth,-- One is nearer God's heart in a garden Than anywhere else on earth. For He broke it for us in a garden Under the olive-trees Where the angel of strength was the warden And the soul of the world found ease. ~~ by Dorothy Frances Gurney~~
  • To live content with small means, to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion, to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich, to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly, to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart, to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never, in a word to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common, this is to be my symphony. - William Henry Channing
