Hello, Dear Selia! It's so good to see that you are back blogging again. I have missed your wonderful posts and seeing what lovely creative things you are making. But I see you have been busy traveling! How wonderful! And to England and France, no less! I have just finished rereading all of my Jane Austen books, which has renewed in me a longing to visit England. I look forward to catching up with you!

Many blessings and welcome back,

What a lovely autmnal glow your home has Selia. I love the old books and the little cutie on top just had to be a 'Paula special'! I shall look forward to hearing about your new home when you've have moved. Glad you're back, love Eli

Beautiful displays. Everything looks lovely.

Hello my dearest Selia,

I am so delighted to find a new post from you! As I began writing this, China Roses was playing on your playlist. That was the very same song playing when I first visited your beautiful Down The Rabbit Hole journal. I am so thankful the Lord brought you into my life! That song will always be special to me and remind me of your dear friendship and the beautiful journal you have created and share.

Oh Selia, you write so beautifully! I am so glad you are enjoying such Autumnal bliss and your angel trumpet is still providing blooms for you to enjoy. I, too, am planning my garden for next spring, it is so exciting to think of all the beautiful flowers blooming and filling up the blank spaces of our garden.

Your photos are beautiful! I LOVE your studio, it is gorgeous!!!! I love how you decorate, so pretty, romantic, Victorian and old world. I love that look, and get so much inspiration from you! I love how you have everything arranged on your shelves and the cabinet. They are pretty and the things you have sitting upon them are pretty! I love the butterflies, too. I love everything! The toile apron your made your dear friend is beautiful! She will enjoy it so very much! I love toile, the scenes are always so charming. I think the initial adds the perfect touch, as does the sweet bow and pearl! Just lovely!

Your little birds are so sweet, waiting to be made into your beautiful tassels. I have the gorgeous one you made me hanging on the knob of my new antique china cabinet. I love the pretty tray, doily, and the crystal shaker to hold your glitter in. That is such a good idea! Oh, and Alice is so sweet! I have been reading Alice and Wonderland with Justin, and we are enjoying it so much! The old books you found are beautiful! How wonderful they are over 100 years old. What treasures they are! I love old books! I am so glad you like the little doll and the bird I made for you. You are so kind!

The toile tray is beautiful and quite the find! I love the vignette of flowers, antique jewelry and silk ribbon. I can hardly wait to see the millinery flowers you make. I know they will be beautiful! Thank you for all the loveliness you shared. I will be looking over your photos again, to take in all the beauty you have surrounded yourself with! You have such a lovely studio to work in, and you have a gift for decorating and creating charming vignettes!

The poem is so pretty! I love Tennyson! Have a wonderful week dear friend!

Much love and blessings, Paula

I've enjoyed reviewing your wonderful trip to Europe ~ (sigh)! How beautiful, what memories you must have. Love all your thrift shop treasures - beautiful tole tray...

Dear Selia,

Everything does look blissful, indeed! What a sweet doll and bird Paula made, and the Alice, and the trays, and everything!

Blessings to you,

I want a singleness of eye, a purity of intention, a central core to my life that will enable me to carry out these obligations and activities as well as I can. I want, in fact - to borrow from the language of the saints - to live "in grace" as much of the time as possible...By grace I mean an inner harmony, essentially spiritual, which can be translated into outward harmony...I would like to achieve a state of inner spiritual grace from which I could function and give as I was meant to in the eye of God..." by Anne Morrow Lindbergh Gift from the Sea

~A Garden of Thoughts~

  • THE Lord God planted a garden In the first white days of the world, And He set there an angel warden In a garment of light enfurled. So near to the peace of Heaven, That the hawk might nest with the wren, For there in the cool of the even God walked with the first of men. And I dream that these garden-closes With their shade and their sun-flecked sod And their lilies and bowers of roses, Were laid by the hand of God. The kiss of the sun for pardon, The song of the birds for mirth,-- One is nearer God's heart in a garden Than anywhere else on earth. For He broke it for us in a garden Under the olive-trees Where the angel of strength was the warden And the soul of the world found ease. ~~ by Dorothy Frances Gurney~~
