Put cats in the coffee, and mice in the tea---
And welcome Queen Alice with thirty times three!
I was invited, by a dear friend, to a tea party/luncheon not too long ago. Here are some photographs that I would like to share with you!
I love this tea spoon above. The place settings are by a Bulgarian artist named Danko.
My dear friend and I were lucky enough to meet and talk with the guest speaker, Phyllis Hoffman, Editor-in-Chief of Victoria. She is a wonderful story teller and such an inspiration! If you ever get a chance to hear her you are in for a treat! (the photo is a little blurry)
(me, Phyllis, Sheila)
It was such a lovely event and we were each given a tea cup and saucer, a Victoria magazine, and a rose to take home. Thank you again for inviting me dear Sheila! I had a wonderful time!
If you remember back in my August post of Victorian Elegance, that beautiful home belongs to her.
Thank you to everyone who commented or emailed me concerning my being sick with a cold/bronchitis. I am feeling much better now, your words did cheer me!
Sweet Charlene of My Heart's Ease has given me the Marie Antoinette award of Inspiration! Thank you so much Charlene you are so sweet! Love all the inspiration from your wonderful blog! The rules are that I am to choose seven people who inspire me. There are so many inspirational women, including the seven that Charlene chose, that it is hard to decide on only seven! I understand that I am to choose different so here is my pick:
8. Everyone on my sidebar!
1. Please put the logo on your blog
2. Link to the person from whom you received the award
3. Nominate at least 7 or more blogs
4. Put the links of those blogs on your blog
5. Leave a message on their blogs to tell them.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
"The cup of tea on arrival at a country house is a thing which, as a rule, I particularly enjoy. I like the crackling logs, the shaded lights, the scent of buttered toast, the general atmosphere of leisured coziness."
